Well designed competitions are outstanding educational opportunites! LAPSEN supports any group that host competitions for young people. Reach out to us if you are having a competition – local, statewide or national.
SkillsUSA
SkillsUSA is the biggest competition in education! LAPSEN works closely with SkillsUSA at the state and national level to provide the best events. We are the LPS Comptitions Cluster Coordinator. Get some great resources and find competition details AND tips!

Public Safety Cadets (PSC)
PSC is a newer cadet programs that is growing quickly! They have a national competition every-other-year. The next one is in 2025. They are working on more local and regional offerings.

Texas Public Safety Association (TPSA)
TPSA is a great group in Texas that supports teachers and students. They have regional and state competitions each year. They have a wide range of competitions.

National High School Mock Trial Championship
Many LPS programs participate in Mock Trial. Starting a chapter is fairly easy – but being a great team takes hard work. Each state varies a little in structure – but most are organizaed by the state bar association.
