This class will be a Train the Trainer for North Carolina teachers wanting to certify their students using NFPA 2400, 2019 ed. through LAPSEN
Description:
NFPA 2400, 2019 ed. Standard for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Used for Public Safety Operations provides the foundation for departments to develop sUAS programs based on the most current industry knowledge and best practices.
This is the all-day training sessions and certification for teachers that will be eligible to teach high school students LAPSEN NFPA 2400 for certification as required for ID12 Drone Technology II and is part of the Proof of Learning for this course. This workshop will consist of classroom and actual flying the NIST standards as required to meet the NFPA 2400. The cost is $125 per person and will include lunch and snacks. Teachers must bring their own laptop computer and a drone for flying the NIST fixtures.
