Youth Agency Recruiting Track
Agencies from across the country are invited to participate in the first conference ever offered focused on youth recruitment. The best way to build a sustainable recruitment program is to intentionally tap into college programs, high school career programs, cadet posts, and other places youth interested in law and public safety can be found. Presentations on best practices, successful recruitment, and ways to “grow your own” will be offered over two days. Opportunities to network with other recruiters and agencies will cross the conference. Finally, participants will provide insight into the LAPSEN Career Pipeline project.
Excellence in Education Track
The best and largest conference in law and public safety education keeps getting better! This year there will be sessions in every pathway and covering every area critical to making programs the best they can be!
On Monday there will be preconference training to certify instructors to certify their students in NECI 9-1-1 dispatch as well as NFPA 2400 Drones for Public Safety. The LAPSEN microcredentialing instructor certification will be offered in Basic CSI as well as Basic Law Enforcement.
On Tuesday the conference will begin! The industry recruitment conference is merged with the LAPSEN conference giving attendees more choices to maximize career preparation and transition. The traditional LAPSEN conference offerings will all be there, plus many more sessions in careers.
Finally, on Wednesday the conference will continue but also add CTE administrators and WBL leaders. Regular sessions and workshops on WBL will be offered. It will truly be the best conference ever!
